    Gashes

I'm going to keep a close eye on the other hen and if he hurts her. I might have to get rid of him.

    Gashes

we have a extra cage for hurt chickens and broody hens so we put her in that extra cage by herself until she heals.

    Gashes

I’ve already got her separated cause I didn’t want him hurting her anymore. I’ve got some original neosporin ointment on her right now.

    Gashes

I’ve got several roosters but they all are in different lots and the one that hen came out of only has two hens in it and she was the only one that had gashes like that but I’m going to keep a close eye on the other one to make sure he don’t hurt her.

    Plucking feathers out because stress?

Try putting something in the coop to entertain her, it will stop her from pecking the others. I had some hens doing that and I added a swing and I hung a head of lettuce in there coop and...

    Predator attack

I haven’t had a dog kill 10 of my chickens and injure one really bad. She had few deep cuts that were bad but she is perfectly fine now, they healed up great and I’m hoping that your Orpington heals good. But, I can say now that she has been attacked she will act skittish when she sees a dog or...

    Predator attack

That’s perfect. She said be fine in that. Just been a close eye and clean the wound everyday. If you want you don’t have to but maybe let her out (sometimes) so she can exercise but may sure to keep an eye on her if you decide to do that. If you put her with the others during the day make sure...
