Ordered two 6-week old chicks from My Pet Chicken. I know the darker one is a golden laced Wyandotte, but I have no idea what the lighter one is. Any ideas? Easter Egger, maybe?

Yup, looks like an EE to me (are the legs green?). And a pretty one at that. Did you order an EE?

I ordered a “surprise me” breed. Her legs look greenish gray. Just noticed some tufts on her cheeks too.

They ship them at 6 weeks or did you order them as babies?

They shipped them at 6 weeks old. I suspected she was an EE but wasn’t sure since I’ve never had one.

Greenish legs = EE. At least I can't think of any other "breed" MPC offers that has green legs. Tufts points to EE too - though they can be tuftless. Were they okay after being shipped? I was surprised to learn that you can mail older chickens!

They’re confused and scared but otherwise ok. They ate some of their grower feed but I haven’t seen them drink yet and they run in terror when I try to offer them some water. I didn’t think many hatcheries would ship older chicks either. MPC and two others whose names I can’t remember right now are the only ones I know of that do.
