A few months ago we treated Lemon for bumblefoot. It was a small kernel and seemed relatively easy to manage. She is still limping so I gave her another soak. Her foot seems extra scaly but I don’t really see anything else obviously wrong with it. She also has this bald patch on her head that just showed up. Any guidance is welcome.

Welcome To BYC

Look like Contact Dermatitis on the foot. Does she have a dry place to roost and some dry bedding?

Feather loss on the back of the head, do you have a rooster? Could be due to a rooster or another hen picking at her a bit.

She just upgraded to a new coop that has roosts and has been roosting nightly for the past 3 nights but before that she slept on the floor of her coop. I suspect our old coops roosting bars were too narrow. Now she has 2x4s and can roost up high. We don’t have a rooster but I’ll watch out for bullying. I was concerned about mites tho I’ve seen no other evidence of that.
