What’s wrong with him?

My sweet BCM rooster captain Tom was are sweetest rooster ever! But then today I was holding another chicken and he kinda peeled at me but right when I got close to the ground with her he came at me and attacked ( pecked, and kicked some rocks.) And now he’s just chasing me. Do y’all know what’s wrong with him?

He's protecting "his" flock, and now you're the enemy. I don't know why I can hold the hens here and the roo just stands there, then when I sit the hen down, he does that rooster dance around them, like telling them, "Don't you do that again!"

when you pick up hens he thinks you're mating them, so you're acting like a rival. I predict that if you stop picking up his hens in his sight he'll stop attacking you and you'll get your sweet rooster back.
