What’s wrong with my cockerel’s comb?

I noticed earlier this morning that our cockerel’s comb seems to be turning blackish blue.

He’s about 30 weeks (7 months) old

If anyone know what this is or how to fix it that would be greatly appreciated :fl:hugs
 
Have a bud with an Orpington that did that. The color seemed to change according to his mood, so probably a normal circulation issue. It would really change color when he was feeling rather randy..
 
I haven't found a fix for my big ole Brahma gal. :( Hers changes when she gets to active.
I think mine has a heart issue, AND my bird is elderly.

Your bird has a big comb. The affected area is to the back so last in line for oxygenated blood.
I think he will be fine.....unique....but fine.
 
Having a dark comb near the back can be normal at times in birds with larger combs. You may notice that it looks more red at times, and if there is excitement, or if the temperature is cooler, it may look darker at the rear. If the whole comb becoems dark, then I would look at dehydration or a heart issue as the cause. Here is an interesting article about combs:
