What’s wrong with Skylar’s bill?

Thank you for your responses! :) I really appreciate it!;):love
They live in a grassy area with clover dandelion greens etc to nibble on and I will give them treats usually grapes romaine lettuce or mealworms. What can I do to help him not shed so much keratin? Is there anything I can even do?
I don't believe it's the feeder they both use it so if it was something to that effect they would both have the same problem. Skylar's bill started having trouble with a different feeder that not at all could cause damage but it always got water in it so I switched to the one in the picture. I've never noticed them hitting their bills on the chicken feeder that they use and they've been using that one for a month or so now.
Could I put something on his bill?
Thank you all again!!

As I said above, it's a normal process. It would be best to leave him alone. If the flaking worsens or doesn't improve you may try giving him supplemental carotene, and apply a moistener like a coconut oil to his bill if you want even though it'll probably wash off.

But it seems excessive is what I’m trying to get at. I’ve noticed some shedding with my other ducks but not this much. Where do I get this carotene supplement? What foods are high in carotene? How do I prepare sweet potato for my ducks?
Thank you!!

While it is excessive, like Isaac said some will have more shedding than others. I don't see any raw tissue or bleeding and he is eating and behaving fine so I wouldn't worry.
