What’s Wrong With The Combs???

Yes to roosters with only two hens usually will cause issues. I tried to have two roosters with eight hens and that didn’t work out real well. So now my mother-in-law has a rooster. Do you only have two hens?
 
I would agree. I think the rule of thumb is no less than 6 to 8 per rooster. Unless it’s my rooster he doesn’t care how many there are he doesn’t share. LOL
 
There are no numbers that are absolute.

The 'rooster' to hen ratio of 1:10 that is often cited is primarily for fertility efficiency in commercial breeding facilities.
It doesn't mean that if a cockbird has 10 hens that he won't abuse or over mate them.
Many breeders keep pairs, trios, quads, etc
It all depends on the temperaments of the cock and hens and sometimes housing provided.
Backyard flocks can achieve good fertility with a larger ratio.

Having multiple males always ups the chance that you'll have problems.
