Brilliant thank you so muchTwice when I’ve moved my girls - to their new winter coop last December, then back to summer quarters last month - I’ve had that ring seen on the left egg, followed by the next egg from that hen having a flattened/thin side. (It was a different hen the two times.) There’s a great article here about egg oddities, and both are given as calcification issues related to eggs developing too close together, and can be due to stress. Now I’m off to find the article . . .
