What’s wrong with this girl?

Yes feather eating would be my next guess. Birds that are deficient in essential amino acid Methionine will crave the extra protein they get from eating their flock mates feathers.

How do you replace that amino acid?

Crop is going down in the morning, but is it empty?

I would also take the time to watch the flock's interactions with her. Even though you don't have a rooster, you may have a hen that is mounting her. The loss at the wings and back of head really do look like mounting damage. If you can, also watch behavior during roosting, see if she's getting plucked.

Crop is squishy but mostly empty. Skin is still very red.

If the crop is not completely empty in the morning, then likely there's a crop issue. The redness could be from being plucked, but I would be concerned it's turning sour.

They are on all flock pellets.

What brand and model of feed?
Any other foods/treats given?

How do you replace that amino acid?

Eh....feed has enough.

She is 1of 7 of our original flock about 18 months old. Our other 5 are 17 weeks. No cockerels.

So 12 birds total?
Did the feather damage start when the 5 new birds were added?
How and when were new chicks(?) added?

How big is your coop and run, in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics would be most helpful.

So 12 birds total?

How and when were new chicks(?) added?

How big is your coop and run, in feet by feet?
Dimensions and pics would be most helpful.

It started prior to the introduction of the littles.
We introduced them over a few weeks time with the look but don’t touch method.
Coop is 48 sq ft and run is just over 120 sq ft with range time in the evening.
