What’s your ducks favorite treat?

I have some ducks and we are training them to go in at night by giving them treats. But we keep running out of meal worms! And there so expensive! So I need something a little less expensive that my ducks will love. Hope fully you can help!

i use dried meal worms also. but i have put them in a big plastic yogurt container so when i shake it they know it means they will get some if they come in. i don't give them too many because they do get expensive. it may take a little training but it totally works!

If you don't want to purchase mealworms. Mine really like cucumbers (cold) and watermelon

I noticed with ours that watermelon seems to make their cute little tails wag faster. Must be from the sugar rush!

My ducks go absolutely nuts for blueberries. Watermelon is a close 2nd for 3 of my ducks. My female Pekin, Peep, is terrified of watermelon and honks at it and runs away

Mine go nuts for run of the horse pasture, but that won’t help you at all. Although they pretty much come back themselves after a fun day of activity. If you feed them lightly in the morning they’ll be even more keen to race back for dinner when you show up. Never had a problem.
