In all honesty, I'm getting away from plain white myself.

All I can get with Silkies in my area are white, which is annoying. Wish our TSC carried other colored Silkies. Well, I did get a lucky Khaki colored boy from there.

I love all chicken breeds. Just picky on color pretty much. I hate solid white chickens.

I love all chicken breeds also. I do prefer specific colors over others.
I also dislike solid White chickens.
My dad LOVES white Leghorns, and it sometimes drives me crazy. I always seem to have them.

Or muddy, & stained.

They get all dirty when they bathe

Yes, they do. I can never get them to stay clean.

My favorite hen is the dirtiest in my flock and the most hated. She’s a darling who growls at me. Figures she’s my favorite! She’s all mouth. I pick her up and she melts!

Either pheonix, Cornish bantams or araucana. Can't narrow it down more than that

I don't have a favorite breed, just favorite individuals.
Both of these guys are friendly, although one much more than the other. Mixed breed and were hatched by me using an incubator.

As far as hens go, I have some young Plymouth Rock that seem pretty mellow. One is more friendly than the others. She seems to enjoy being picked up and held, while others tend to stay out of reach.

As of now, and out of all the breeds I’ve had, I love my Dominiques. I’ve only had two, and still have them. They’re just super sweet and I love their personalities!
