I would speak to the neighbor before making any alterations to the bird, even wing clipping. 8t diesnt have to be a feud

They don't pay enough attention to the bird to realize it's wing is clipped.
But anything that has to do with the neighbors doing anything is gonna start a fued.

I think if I was in that situation the duck would just "mysteriously disappear" and if asked I would have no idea what happened to it. "Maybe a predator got it." That way the problem would be solved with the least amount of drama.

I'm with Darlene E. If I got my hands on that quacker, he'd never be seen again. If questioned, I say you've seen a fox a couple times in the past week.

Have decided to capture the Drake and clip one of his wings so he cannot fly.
Red can usually get away except when he goes airborne.
If that doesn't work I will start the fued with the neighbors.

Before you start a feud, talk to them. Respectfully. No, I don't know your neighbor, and I'm sure he's a complete jerk, but still. You will get farther if you start out speaking with respect. If that doesn't work, you may want to think about fencing him out. Is it "fair" that you might have to take action to protect your hen from your neighbor's duck? No, but it is your responsibility. Hopefully you can work things out before it gets too ugly.

Came home from church to find Drake pinning Red down and wearing her out.
My heart swelled with pride when I saw Cruella, one of the evil Twins run up and tear into him..lol
He wasn't ready for that. Took off pretty quick.
