Too funny! I just pm'ed her a bit ago b/c I hatched some out earlier this year and gave them to my neighbor. They were wondering what it was b/c it didn't look like the other Ameraucanas I gave them from those eggs. hehe It's gorgeous, though...looks like a pure barred rock pullet to me at this point, but we'll see. They don't care if it's a mix, though as they just wanted some nice egg layers. (The black and blue Ameraucana I hatched out from her are gorgeous, I might add.)
Cousin It is only 3 months old and just getting his roo feathering. When he's older I'll bet he's the spitting image of his brothers Stupid and Hugo. Then there will be one in 3 different states. Cousin It is constantly shaking his head - like he's got something in his ear - does Stupid do that?
Just saw your blog and laughed out loud - called hubby to come see. It is a small world. I read about Stupid's escapades with the ladies - feel like Cousin It will have some problems also. I got two beautiful pure-bred Barred Rock roos from Lisa's eggs as well so there's some competition for him. But, like I posted, he's the one that at about 4 weeks old grabbed one of the females by the back of the neck and shagged her like he knew what he was doing - course he had the angle all wrong but the moves were most definite. I even posted on it at the time asking if that was normal. But he does look really stupid shaking his head like he does.
