Does everyone remember Drumstick (Stupid)?

I got him has a tiny fuzz butt from Dennis (Animal123Animal) in November, but never got the story of where he came from. I just assumed Dennis bred him.

So, check this out... Dipsy Doodle Doo sent me a PM saying he looked familiar. Turns out, Stupid came from her as an egg!!!

Here is Stupid's brother, Hugo.

And the story of how Stupid and Hugo came about, as told by Dipsy...

The hen was (Naked Neck x Silkie) X Silkie. The Naked Neck Silkie pen shares a fence with the Barred Rock pen. I caught the hen climbing/flapping over the 4' fence and running in the BR coop to lay her eggs. When she was done, she'd clamber back in the NN pen.
Lol, the BR coop must have 'nicer' nest boxes, I guess, the NN coop only has buckets with hay.
Apparently, one of the BR roos caught her in between.

So Drumstick and Hugo are {(Naked Neck x Silkie) x Silkie} X Barred Rock.

Turns out there aren't that many miles between California and South Carolina!!!!

It is a small world. Cute story. I have a few interesting mixes from some of Dipsy's eggs also. Seemed she used to have a problem with those wayward hens/roosters jumping into each other's pens.

I had a girfriend in elem. school who grew up to have a boyfriend who she called "Stupid". Actually used that as his name. To his face. Then married him.

Hatched Valentine's Day from one of Lisa's eggs.

Has the world's ugliest feet - look like age spots.

Beautiful teal feathers in tail though and tonight I caught him trying to crow. He's also the one I caught shagging one of the pullets when they were only 4 weeks old.
