What about the other eggs not hatched?

My silkie hen hatched 2 chicks 2 days ago and has given up on the other two eggs. Any suggestion? I don't have an incubator.

How long have they been cold?

If the hen gave up on them, and you don't have a bator, you could wait on the hen a little longer. If she's totally off the nest with her new chicks I say bury the eggs in a few days.

Sorry. You could candle them right now to see if they are dead or alive, or they may not even be fertile or could have died days ago. I would check for any signs of life before I dispose of them.

Thanks for the quick reply, I am not sure how long she was off them. When I came home from work they felt pretty cold. I put her back on them, but when I went back twice to check she was off with her chicks teaching them how to eat and drink, then she settled on the floor with the chicks rather than going back to the nest. (which is also on the floor).
