What age can ducks go in pool?

I am sure this has been asked a million times but I can't find it during a search.

what age can we put baby ducks into the pool/pond. I know not to have it cold and we would be there the whole time watching them.

I have never had ducks before but in the wild you see them swimming with their mom before they even have feathers.

Thanks. Yes I know they can swim but wondering at what age is it smart to put them in a pool/pond.

I am in a lot warmer climate than you are but I let them out when they are just a few days old and have them play in a plastic paint tray liner. It's a gradual incline and then the deep end which is maybe 3" deep. The gradual incline lets them ease their way into water and test it before they really get in. Once the get used to that you'll have trouble keeping them out of the water!
