Hi all, so happy to have found this forum!! just wanting to know what age do chicks typically get moved outside into their coop. I am in Northwest Connecticut. So the high day time temps have been between 40-55 and the low nighttime temps are around 35-40 with some variance. My chicks are currently only 3 weeks old and still in a large tote in my downstairs shower area.

I would let my ducks out in their coop in the day and take them in at night just for them to get used to it. Once they were fully feathered I let them spend the night out there. Don't know if its the same case for chickens though. Good luck😁🦆🐓

Welcome to Backyard Chickens- thank you for joining the flock. I don't know much about ducks but the folks on the "Duck forum," surely do.
