What age did your rooster crow?

I thought I would start a thread of cockerels and when they started to crow.
I have had many roosters before, but never made a note of when they started, but currently I have Kendall Jenner a BO (he was named that when I found out he was a boy) Kendall is 5 months old. Not a peep yet, His brother "Charlie Chicken" is on another farm and the guy says he is crowing. I just got 2 baby roosters (bought that way) through meyer hatchery. one Spitzenhauben "Doc" short for "Doctor Shefhausen" (bonus points if anyone know what movie that is from.)

does anyone know when they start to crow? Put up your picks and stories!

Mine was around 4 months. And it was the funniest thing ever. And now he wont shut up. 4 am to bed time.

Dexter started crowing at 15 weeks.

Fabio started crowing 1 day after Dexter was rehomed at 18 weeks. He was too terrified to make a peep when Dexter was here.

I've had cockerels attempt to crow as early as 10/12 weeks and some as late as 11 months. And like @DobieLover said, some cockerels and roosters won't crow if there is an aggressive dominant rooster around.

I don’t remember the roosters but I clearly remember the turkey poults started to strut around a week old; funniest thing ever to see this little 3” tall bird marching around with his tiny wings down and his tail “feathers” fanned

Dexter has a great home and he was my nice boy.
Fabio was and still is a little insecure and has turned to the dark side. We are working things out.

It took six months for Negan to crow and even then he'd hide in the coop to do it really quietly.
Come to find out my hens were beating the turds out of him when he did it, so he'd go hide his shame.
Must have been good for him though.
Now we wait and time when his sons start, they should get much less beatings.
