Aren't new crows cute? =) I don't think you have to worry about ruining her broodiness by taking eggs away. d'Uccles are known for their broodiness and good mothering. When you're ready for some little ones, I'm sure she'll be right there to do what she needs to. I don't remember my girls' broodiness being seasonal or cyclical; it just seemed to happen whenever the mood struck. We only have the little boy left for d'Uccles. Over the years the girlies were taken by predators (one was even swept off by a raven!) and we just never got more. My kids really miss them, though because they're the absolute most wonderful little chickens ever so we're getting more in the spring.
