What age do RIRs lay?

Our RIRs were 19 weeks and 2 days when we got our first egg. We're up to about 5 a day from 13 girls now.....so they're not all laying yet, but I'm happy with what I get....

My RIR pullet Bunty started laying when she was 6 months old. She lays the prettiest brown eggs that I've ever seen.

I name her after the red hen Bunty in {Chicken Run}. I'm kinda hoping that she takes after her. Bunty lays 5 eggs a day!!!

my RIR started laying at 6 months to the day. I average 14 eggs a day and the different shades of brown are nice.

Yes, I agree. The eggs are really nice, very pretty shades of brown. I've got one hen from last year that has been laying.
