what age do the girls start laying

Most breeds start laying @ 6 months or more. You start layer feed @ 18-20 weeks no sooner. This is what I've been told. My Easter Egger started laying @ 6 months, my Barred Rock & Rhode Island Red @ 7 months & my other Easter Egger @ 9 months
 
Thank you! I have oprphingtons, wyandottes, and Jersey giants. Was told they were a great breed for northern NY. Winters can be brutal up here with both cold and snow. Hoping they will produce over the winter here.
