At what age can you start introducing treats like tomatos, strawberries, oats etc. I have 4, 7 week old chicks and would like to start giving them fresh veggies etc.

My chicks were about 3 weeks old when I gave then their first treat - cut up fried chicken! They gobbled it right down. But like Gallo del Cielo, said, make sure they have some grit.
you are kidding right? Mine are five weeks old and the past 5 days I started giving them everything their firat treat was 3 weeks, watermelon. Tgey hust now startibg pecking salads, kale. Chickens are not vegetarians. Ever see a chicken go after, catch & eat a mouse - or a snake? Bugs, worms, insects are meat.
Which is why I find the whole "fed an all natural VEGETARIAN diet" claims that are the new thing with poultry producers (big retail) so funny
