what age is best

eAt what age can you tell what breed/gender they are? Also I am not sure how old my babies are. I have had them 2 1/2 weeks, one seems to be the youngest, but "she" seems to be aggressive so I was wondering is she could be a he!

5 weeks is about the minimum for most but some mature faster, making it easier to tell the gender. Post pictures if you are wanting to get some opinions on if you have a cockerel/pullet. It might be too early to tell yet though.

How do I know how to tell how old they are. We got them from a farm store so they weren't really sure how old they were when we got them

Size, amount of feathers, breed and how they act are good pointers to learn the age of a chick. Usually farm stores sell chicks at around two days old, so yours are most likely close to three weeks old by now.
