outside, except when I'm inside
I have 3 EE chicks that I will be selling. They are now 4 weeks old. I have the brooder, that they share with 5 other chicks,( and a duckling) in the house, and only keep the heat lamp on at night. I would feel most comfortable selling them when they no longer need the heat lamp, but if the new owners at least put the heat lamp on them at night (they will be outside) should they be ok if I were to sell them within the next week or two? I should add that we live in the Pacific Northwest and the temps have been 40's during the night and 50's-60's during the day (windy and rainy off and on)

Thanks!

I just put my 6 and almost-5 wk olds out in the coop on Saturday with a heat lamp (at night and cold days). They're doing great! I would have done it a few days sooner (at 4 and 5 wks) but their new space wasn't ready for them. I'm in Washington, and temps here are just a little cooler than yours. I should add that they're not allowed out of the coop yet, (though they're probably smart enough to go back in if they get cold) but we do open the doors of the coop up everyday, so they do have fresh air and are a little exposed to the weather, just aren't allowed out in it.
