What age will they lay eggs ??

Im new to chickens and would like to know when mine will start laying eggs.I have 2 silkies and 2 white leghorns they are now 3 months old.Also when do I switch from medicated chick feed to something else just curious and trying to learn thanks.

The Leghorns will probably start in the 18 to 22 week range. It's probably safe to use layer now though I prefer to wait til approximate laying age. I have no idea on Silkies.

Leghorns will typically start to lay at between 120 to 150 days, after hatch. The dual purpose breeds will start to lay at about 170 days....Not sure where Silkies fit into the mix.
