I hang the food and water up under the coup. The entire run is covered but under the coup offers more protection from rain. I do have roosts in the run because they do like to get off the ground during the day. I do not put food and water in the coup. I did for the first few weeks the birds were in the coup but the didn't seem to eat or drink in there.
