What Am I Doing Wrong?????

This spring I had a bunch of Wyandotte chicks and one BLR lagged way behind the rest, he was the last to feather and was half the size of the others. Then around 8 weeks old he started to catch up and by 12 weeks old he looked just like all the rest. I was so sure in the beginning that he wouldn't make it. So don't give up on your little one. There is some hope!

no these are Buff orps......Good news tho the smaller of the two hit a growth spurt he has alot of new feathers coming in im so happy thanks 4 all of your replys

What are you doing wrong? Nothing. Different individuals develop at different rates -- I had 25 tiny, slow to develop chicks out of a batch of 100 (same breed). By their 16th week, except for some coloration differences, you couldnt' tell them apart.
