what am i?? duck with a pompom??

just picked up this ducky, it was apparantly bought in may as a duckling as a present for a kids birthday, but now its grown up the people didnt have the room for such a 'messy' creature....charming!

anyhow im just wondering if anyone knows what kind it is and possibly the sex?

he/she is a real poser and oh so tame..a proper little darling

Crested black swedish. Looks fery nice. I see no tail curl so maybe female? How old is the duck?

it was born around end of april early may apparantly..so not so old just over 3 months? seems awfully big to me though for a 3 month old duck! i have some 3 month old muscovies who dont even have all there feathers yet!

My swedish was born the begining of april and has been fully feathered for a month now. He got his curl a little over a month ago to right after his molt. So maybe you have a female unless that tail curls soon. I would give it another month or so to see if its a drake or not because mine got their curl early. From what i understand its not suppose to be untill 4 months or so...
