I purchased some chicks from someone who said they were leghorns but in all my research I havn't found one with a mohawk like this. I have 5 total that look similar and can you tell if it's a roo or hen? It is about 2-4 weeks old. Thanks!

Looks like a White Polish or maybe a cross (mixed breed) of something with a crest. As far as I know, there is no such thing as a "longhorn" chicken. They may have meant Leghorn, but it isn't one.

I was thinking polish cross too since that is the only one that I can find with a mohawk... IDK tho?

I'm thinking Leghorn X Polish at this point. But as the bird ages, they'll be more signs to back up the mix. Regardless of the exact breeds, this bird is indeed a mix. I'm afraid to make any gender guesses yet. 2-4 weeks is very young to begin sexing chicks and with some Polish blood in there, it'll probably take longer to get the sex right.

I was able to check out the other 4 chicks that I have and there is one that already has a prominent comb but the other 4 don't. I"m going to have to do some research on Polish chicks!
