What am I?!? (Other than a chicken :-P)

Hey everyone!! I am new to the chicken world and have a few chics that need a breed. I got them from a local feed store (worst mistake ever!) The brownies/reds were from the store and the leghorns from a friend. Sex and breed ideas anyone?

I'm not sure about breed, but pic 1 and 4 seem to be of pullets (young females) and pics 2 and 3 of young roosters.

The hens could be New Hampshires, because of the black tipping on the tail of the one at the bottom.
The roosters color is known as crele, though I don't know what breed he is.

By the way, they are all very nice looking chickens! I especially love the crele one.

The brownish ones are Pioneers, a slower growing meat type. The ones with barring are cockerels.

I agree. Pioneers are also marketed by some hatcheries under the label Dixie Rainbow.

Yes, the cockerel is a Pioneer as well.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I found an old thread on here about Pioneers/Dixie Rainbows being used as dual purpose birds and how awesome they are as laying hens. I'm kind of excited after reading it! They are super friendly (even the roo)! Here's to hoping what I read is true; they're excellent so far!
