We got this one out of a mix of straight runs. I have no idea what he/she is, but due to this one's attitude I have a feeling it's a 'he'. Any ideas???
A polish?
Something in the "top hat" category.
I havent had much experience with top hats... even though I do have some sultan chicks that have extra toes... but they are white... so that can't be a sultan.
I'd say polish. Or maybe a brabanter of some sort.
I haven't firgured out how to post a NEW post, so I keep just replying.
I am brand new here.
I got 3 chickens, first time EVER having chickens!!
I am excited. Only one is laying; I suspect the second is really a young rooster, and the third is a different type and much younger, and the other 2 have rejected it, so I had to separate it from the other 2.
I would like to attach a picture but I can't, for the life of me, figure out how!!!
HELP!!!
One important and novice question: do you HAVE to have a rooster for a hen to lay eggs?? I don't really want them fertilized; just eggs.
Thanks, everyone!!! Now I'm gonna have issues deciding what to do with him, he's a little you-know-what. I just don't want him growing spurs and getting ahold of my others!!!! Thanks again!
I got the "new post" but haven't mastered this site yet. I need to know how to attach a picture. I need H E L P 'cause I no nothing about chickens and I just got 3 on Sunday.
Thaniks, for you help on posting/replying, though!
