I posted a week or so ago and we decided these chicks might be Delawares. Since then, one chick has gotten a lot more dark feathering and I realized that Mt. Healthy--where TSC says they think the chicks came from--does not sell Delawares.

So, what am I? Updated photos...

Guesses on sex are welcome too.

Just for reference, here is the list of breeds Mt. Healthy sells:

Araucanas
Barred Plymouth Rock
White Rock
Black Australorps
Black Sex Link
Black Giants
Buff Orpingtons
Cornish Rock
Comets
Brahmas
Wyandottes
New Hamps
Reds
Partridge Rocks
Leghorns
Cochins
Speckled Sussex
Dekalb Amberlinks

These are also a mystery.

Store worker said they were sex links. Just FYI, there is no dot at all on top the head.

yes there is a tiny bit of white. the chest is all black on my two, but a friend also got a black chick from the same bin and her's has a white chest.

Hmm, I'm thinking the 1st 1 is a speckled sussex and the 2nd 1 is an Australorp. What's a Dekalb Amberlinks?

I have poured over the breed list and looked up pictures and I can't find any chick on the list that matches my white chicks. The only thing I can think of is that TSC is wrong and their chicks didn't really come from Mt. Healthy...then it could be any breed.

Perhaps an amberlink...

Still look like Delawares to me and...

My Black Sex link looked just like the one in the second post with a white middle toe (We named her White Toe) She had just the tiniest bit of red on her chest.

I thought New Hampshires were red - like a RIR ?

If it's from Mt Healthy (where my feedstore gets their chicks, too) I'd guess it's a cockerel from the red sexlinks.

I don't recall any other chicks that looked like that once their feathers came in from Mt. Healthy.
