So my two little ones are 11 days old. Still absolute no idea what breeds! Any ideas?
Also any clues in sex via wings? As will need to re home any cocks due to my council laws

That brown chick has feathered legs, but no cheek puffs. Maybe a dark Brahma?

The yellow chick could be anything... Orpington?

You will have to wait until about 6 weeks for gender. May be able to tell the breed too at that age, but might need to be a little older.

Far to young still. Like Crazy for Chickens! stated, 6 weeks is about the earliest to guess gender with any accuracy. Breed can take even longer in some cases.

Also wing sexing only works in a rare few breeds that have been specifically bred for it. And at a day old only.

Yes they are! The eggs were just general brown eggs, let me find the photo.

Hi guys, we're now 7 weeks old.
Has anyone got a clue what breed the dark chick is? As you can see it's legs have changed colour to a dark blue/green hue!
I'm hoping I can find out so sexing will be easier.

As for the pale chick, any ideas again would be brilliant. Just need to start working out so I can see who needs rehoming.

They're now bigger than their silkie surrogate
