Yeah I agree, she is probably a phoenix. Everyone needs to remember that just because one thing is wrong on a bird DOES NOT automatically mean it is a cross. I have a couple of breeds that are not perfected yet and they produce birds on occation with the wrong leg color, or wrong top color. This does not mean that they are cross because they are not. They just were not fortunate when the genes combined and have issues.

If she is not a Phoenix she could be an American Game/Pit Game or some combo of all. Who knows, but my bet is phoenix

I fully agree, I dont really think she is crossed, just a bad leg color, it happens. I see no signs, of EE or any of the others mentioned. Looks pure just wrong leg color

I am sorry Phoenix people but to be Phoenix this hen needs white earlobes and slate leggs-she do not have both.No matter who her parents are I will not call such bird Phoenix.

to be to standard for showing yes, to be a back yard phoenix , no they dont, look at the onagadori forum website, many of those breeders have off colored legs in their birds. It's a common problem with American Phoenix, as over the decades, so many people have played with them with crossing to other breeds, that on occation, you will get a throw back to to one of those yellow legged birds, again, this disqualifies it for showing, but not from being what it is, a phoenix.

With red earlobes and green legs this hen ease can be Black Breasted Red American Game.Other way she can be Black Marans with wrong tipe,color,clean legs,and lighter eggs.

i did not realize that Banty would be such a tricky one to figure out...
i thought she looked like a banty wellsummer like the one in my book... except for the legs.... but game hen coudl be it too... she looks like the pic too....

I'd say she's definitely a game hen probably a BBRed crossed with some other color. She looks a lot like one of my game hens.

We call her Hazel (cause of the green legs)
