BYC always amazes me on how close knit everyone seems, no matter how wide spread we are all located.

@ blefky - Thanks for posting those pics. I have to say that even though mine are not real red looking the wing feather patterns that are coming in look the same. I think I feel confident enough now to say that they are probably RIR. Now I just hope that I grabbed 3 girls and not boys!

I don't mean to be a heel, but the op's chicks are not reddish and they have black stripes on their faces. Color of legs and beaks is also different. I still vote not RIR. I guess time will prove who is right.

Seeing the large batches of hatchery RIR chicks that came into the feed store I worked at, I know that the shades of red will vary considerably. Those are RIR. They loose the smutty dark color you see as they mature.
