Chances are if your "Ameraucanas" came from a hatchery, they aren't purebred. Hatchery Ameraucanas are crosses and can lay blue, green, tinted, or brown eggs.. There are many other reasons -- not just color -- that keeps them from being "true" Ameraucanas.
