What am I?

looks like they must be Easter eggers!! Thats fine, just wanted to know. The black one laid her first egg last Wed, it was 3 1/2 in. long!! I haven't cracked it yet, but guess it has two yolks. She has laid one every day since then, normal size. But not blue at all, more greenish tan.

EEs. the second may have been crossed with a BSL giving her that dark partridge coloring, but if she lays green eggs she's still an EE

oh sorry BLS stands for black sex link, also called black star. it's a laying hybrid that's a cross between a barred rock and a rhode island red. they are sexable at hatch because the cockerels have white spots on thier heads. easter eggers can be any color because they are just any blue-green or green egg laying hybrid chickens. since the colored egg gene is almost always dominent, any mix containing a blue or green egg layer will also lay blue or green eggs that are lighter or darker depending on the other breed in the mix. for example a white egg layer like a leghorn crossed with an EE would lay pale green eggs, while a brown egg layer like a Star crossed with an EE would result in offspring that lay olive colored eggs. if that were the case with the second pullet, it would account for her egg coloring, plumage, conformation, and the pale brownish yellow color i can see on her shanks and her dark beak.
