Mavis was sold to us as an Amerucauna....but since about her 3rd week I've been doubting she was one....so please help me out and tell me what you think she might be...Amerucuana? Mutt? Or?

Last one is her at about a week old....She has green legs, if that helps.

It's funny, but I think most "ameraucanas" are EEs. I got 3, they are all EEs. Luckily I was prepared because I knew privett hatchery supplied to where I got my "ameraucanas" and they actually say in the breed description: "our ameraucanas, also known as Easter eggers..."

Well she's a pretty bird nonetheless, and has a great personality, always watching everyone and much more aware of her surroundings than the other girls. =)

It's because most people get their "Ameraucanas" from hatcheries or feedstores, or local breeders who get theirs from hatcheries or feedstores. Which sell under false claim.

Real Ameraucanas, separate from Easter Eggers, do exist. But like real Araucanas - They're rare, and require hunting down a true breeder to find.
