What am I?

OK, guesses for the boy, sillkie X d'Anver or black tailed buff japanese? I still can't tell what kind of comb she has, but she looks more like a sumatra to me than anything else so far, she does look to have white earlobes.

It is hard to see hers even when you are holding her, she is so tiny. I thought at first the seller might be wrong about her age but my rooster really takes a liking to her if you know what I mean. I have been told roosters only do that around laying age and later. He is my first rooster.

Thank you, I think we have her figured out. I dismissed sumatras while I was searching because every time I looked at one they were either all black or all white. Now that you guys have said something I searched again and finally found one that looks just like her: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/231116/show-those-sumatras-winners-announced. Post # 8 She is a dead ringer for their blue one.

I never would have thought of Silkie in my rooster mostly because the only one I have ever seen was a white puffball. Thank you all for your help. I think I need to find a few more Sumatras now, they take being spoiled very well (at least she does). She has been so much fun.

sumatras come in a few colors, I have black and dun myself. Some do become pets very easily, even if they aren't messed with. There is a sumatra thread on here if you look in the breed showing and genetics section on here. Good luck

Interesting, I didn't know sumatras came in dun also. Got some black/frizzles in an assortment this spring, have really wound up liking them. They are a lot friendlier than I remember from some I had years ago.
