She is a pretty bird. I'd make an honest attempt at finding her owners, and if no one claims her I'd probably keep her. By "honest attempt", I mean checking with neighbors, possibly an ad in the paper or on the radio. Whatever you would hope someone would do if one of your animals went missing.

There is a family that lives just over in the trailer park next to us that has chickens, we've tried knocking on the door a few times but no one will answer (with cars in the driveway). I think I'm going to send my husband over with the hen (whom I've started calling Bonnie) maybe they'll answer when they see we're just trying to return their hen. If they answer will have to ask what breed she is.... Where we live it's pretty easy to tell who has chickens and who doesn't.

I do hope you have been able to quarantine this girl from the rest of your flock. I'd make a reasonable effort to find the owners. Perhaps an ad in the paper, perhaps a sign in your yard, or a note on the door of the trailer park neighbors, but I'd ask respondents to describe the chicken before handing her over. You know that she's getting good care where she is right now, and it looks like she was well cared for, so her owners would be looking for her, but I'd hate to hand her over to someone who couldn't describe her.
