I got this the other day and was shocked. It is the size of a Turkey egg. It had to be either my Buff Orp or one of the red sex links that laid it. My Jersey Giant's eggs are darker in color and she laid one that day. The other two eggs next to it are the size I usually get from them. Only the JG and BR lay bigger ones.
What was even more surprising is there was no blood on it aat all. It was completely clean. All my hens where acting normal too. I got another one a bit smaller the next day. I havne't opened it yet to see if it is a double or triple yolker yet.

You could candle it to see if it has more than one yolk in it. I agree with sfw2 [IMG] [IMG]

I just got a double yolker nearly the length of my hand. And yeah, no blood. OMG ouch... I'll grab a pic later. It's flat amazing.

  6. If I laid that, as a hen, I would be the one laying down with a cold cloth on my . . . . HEAD!!! Probably wouldn't hurt on the other end either!!![IMG]

Here's the one I got this week. The egg for comparison is a NORMAL LARGE EGG - a couple notches off Jumbo.
