I like hatching and don't mind working with problem eggs so I put in double yolks when I get them. They're good for candling practice - in that they're usually weird and because the odds are poor I don't mind candling more than I might otherwise.

I had a pair of twins come close but one died around day 15 and the contamination killed the other just before hatch. Mostly the others die earlier but you certainly get a good feel for "right" and "not right" fiddling with them.

Maybe this is the one time...

certainly a big enough egg...geez.

We had mine for breakfast this morning. Single yolk. If it had been fertile and hatched it would have made a very large chick. I was surprised when I cracked it open and it was one.
