What animal leaves their black fur in patches

Under my shed there is a huge gap. It's always been there but has been getting bigger over the years. We used to have a skunk living under but last year my bunny and the skunk lived together under there. In October I stopped seeing my bunny I think because I got a puppy and the puppy always tried to chase the bunny and barked and growled at it.

I kind of wonder if it's my bunny living under the shed but not coming out. He was a black bunny.

I am trying to attach photos but it's not letting me ... if it's not my bunny what else could it be?

If it's the rabbit I think you would be seeing 'bunny bullets' scattered around - they poop a lot.

If you have a game camera put it up and then you may be able to discover what it is. I love my cameras. Good luck...
