That is a beautifully colored egg. Do you know what breed or mix she is? In the UK, Legbars are pretty popular, you have Araucanas also. The problem with roosters is you don't know what shade blue they carry, so you ideally want one that hatched out of a really blue egg if you can find a breeder rather than buying one from a hatchery. You could also go with a white egg roo, might get only half blue egg layers.

Crossing her with a rooster with white egg genes will dilute the shade of blue at least some. But the resulting pullets should lay blue eggs.

Do not use white leghorn rooster. Something about double genes for white eggs. The pullets will lay a VERY pale blue egg that will fade to white by the end of the laying cycle. Use colored lrghorn roosters. :)

I've been looking and it looks like cream legbars are probably going to be the easiest to get hold of.

I do not no what breed she is, I was told she was a lavender lace but I can not find anything about chicken called this? So I do not no, which is really annoying!

Would guess that Lavender Lace is the name a breeder gave to their particular mix of blue egg layers. So is not really a breed, but a mix / hybrid some one created.... sort of like all the names that sex links get.

Wow, nice egg. I can see why you'd want to breed more like that.
