What are my Packing Peanuts?

I have a guess but I'm interested to hear for sure! They are full-sized chickens, not bantys, even tho you may notice some bantam chicks in the background. Smooth-legged.

Where did you order from? And do the "peanuts" come free to keep the ones you actually ordered warm?

Yes, they were sent for warmth with my last order of day-old chicks from the Ideal hatchery.

My husband thinks it's awful that I call them 'packing peanuts' but that's all I could think of!

Maybe next spring I will have to order from Ideal (I want some Barred Rocks) and maybe I'll get some "peanuts" too

you can actually order and say you will take any extra chicks they have to send for warmth and ive heard of them sending over 10 chicks
