What are my turkeys worth?

I have several male BBB's and someone is willing to trade one for some muscovy ducklings. She's asking $6 for her ducklings but I don't know what that would equal to for a 5 month old male BBB. Does 4 sound about right? What do they average?

If this were in our area, full grown jakes will bring from $25 to $60 depending on the breed, their lines and their age. So I would say 4 ducklings would be about right! Hope this helps! Good luck!

A BBB is worth about $3.50/lb butchered (depending on where you live). At 5 months a butchered BBB is over 20 pounds, so your bird is worth $70 as food. If you want the ducks, buy them and sell the turkey as food. Or get a dozen ducks
