I want to show my white of horns for the first time in a few weeks and was wondering what makes a chicken a show winner?

White of horns? Do you mean Leghorns?

Chickens are judged the same way a dog is judged. It's based on conformation. Does the bird adhere to the breed standard? Does the tail angle match up to what is described in the standard? Does the color match? Is the color even throughout?

The Standard of Perfection can be purchased from the American Poultry Association. It is a great tool to have when breeding and selecting birds for show.
