Right now I'm just feeding them normal growing feed and every now and then I let them forage around for grass and bugs, but that seems boring... does anyone know of any snacks chickens love? and can they eat black sunflower seeds, salty bread, and random stuff from the kitchen?

Growing feed and foraging are probably really exciting to a chicken.

Black Oil Sunflower Seeds (BOSS) is a great snack, an often used supplement for chickens. I'd stay away from a lot of salty or sweet/sugary foods, but pretty much anything you can eat, chickens would like.
Keep it to a treat- just small quantities especially the more like junk food it is.
You will find that they are afraid of new foods, might take a few tries to get them to sample.

our girls are 5 weeks old and we've tried a few different things. they liked the cooked, plain oatmeal a lot. We also tried the tops of celery stalks (the leafy parts) and they liked that too. A lot of the other fruits/veggies they didn't show much interest in yet. Last weekend we picked up a bag of dried meal worms at the feed store and the went crazy!!! Now every time we go near the coop they get all excited thinking they will get some more lol

My chicks always loved when I would dig up a few big chunks of grass, with the dirt and everything, and put it in the brooder. They had a ball digging and scratching, then taking dust baths in it. (Thats if your chicks are still in a brooder)
Yogurt, left over spaghetti, fruit past freshness, corn on the cob, just about anything! Just use some common sence, they're still babies and shouldn't eat stuff that we shouldn't eat.

Salty and sugary stuff probably isn't so good for them.

Meal worms seem to be the only things mine will try. They go nuts!

Thanks for all your replies! I tried feeding them chopped cucumbers, lettuce, and crumbled bread, and they all crowded around and loved it :)

My chickens LOVE swiss chard and buttercrunch lettuce but they also love red worms that they find in the ground
