What are "streamers"??

I keep reading that this silkie has "streamers" or that one doesn't. What are streamers??? I am lost! Please help me...

The way I think about it is, a silkie hen usually has a "bowl-shaped" crest. The rooster has a bowl-shaped crest with "fireworks= streamers" coming out from it.
