What are the best nesting pads to use?

Hello! I was wondering if any of you have recommendations for nesting pads. I would like ones that last long and are thicker and better quality! Thank you!!

There are several good pads and general material. I've used almost all of them.
My go to pads are the excelsior ones. Basically they are shredded aspen wood. They are soft and fairly thick. While not washable, if an egg gets broken in one, you can grab the mess and a handful of the excelsior and discard it with still enough material left to resemble a nest pad.

Several companies sell them. Let me see if I can find an old receipt.

There are thinner ones used for lining shipping boxes to mail live birds. Those are not the ones you want for nest boxes.
